Since last February 7, the Ecuadorian Navy opened the registry of aspiring officers (midshipmen) and crew members (boys) specialists of the year 2022.
Admission for those selected to the Naval Higher School and Boatswain’s School Contramaestre Juan Suárez (Esgrum) will be on June 24.
Registration will end on February 20.
Requirements for officers and specialist crew 2022
- Being Ecuadorian by birth in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador (art. 7).
- Of legal age up to 35 years 0 months 0 days calculated on the expected date of admission to the training school.
- Barefoot height 155 cm women / 160 cm men.
- For aspiring specialist midshipmen, hold a third-level graduate degree from higher education institutes legally recognized by the State, and registered with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT), in accordance with the requirements and institutional needs.
- For aspiring specialist cabin boys, hold a third-level superior technical/technological degree from institutes legally recognized by the State, and registered with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT), in accordance with institutional requirements and needs.
- For those aspiring to specialist musician cabin boys, the bachelor’s degree in the corresponding specialty will be considered for admission.
- Not having been discharged from active service in the Armed Forces training schools for: misconduct, lack of adaptation to military life applicable in the three forces and for entering the Institutes of Military Training Education with adulterated documentation or forged duly verified, without prejudice to the legal actions that may take place.
- Not having been eliminated from a selection process of the Armed Forces, for having presented adulterated or forged documentation duly verified; as well as for having been detected evading or adulterating documents, (biological) samples or procedures in these selection processes.
- Do not register a criminal record or be immersed in judicial proceedings; A similar condition will be taken into account in their relatives up to the first degree of consanguinity and spouse (considered married, common-law union and de facto union), who have a criminal record or legal proceedings related to the following crimes (drug trafficking, smuggling, white slavery , kidnapping, extortion, fraud, domestic violence, organized crime, illicit association, homicide, and robbery).
- Present a vaccination certificate with the booster doses for COVID-19.
