More than 40% of voters who voted for former US President Donald Trump believe that the crisis around Ukraine does not concern the United States, while 38% of Trump supporters believe that America should “stop Russia and help Ukraine.” This is evidenced by research data portal Yahoo News and YouGov. Moreover, 49% of “Trumpists” believe that the United States should not accept “any” of the parties to the conflict.

Among supporters of incumbent Joe Biden who participated in the survey, 60% insist that assistance to Ukraine is in the interests of the United States, and only 20% believe that the situation does not concern the United States. The policy of neutrality is preferred by 29% of people.

The survey was conducted on February 3-7, it was attended by about 1.6 thousand adult US citizens.

The hypothetical attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, which should take place in the winter months of 2021-2022, is the subject of attention of the world and Ukrainian media and the heat of passions among US and EU politicians who threaten Russia with especially harsh sanctions. At the same time, all evidence of this “invasion” comes down to satellite images of Russian military equipment in the regions bordering Ukraine, and a recent report by Bloomberg about a “Russian attack on Ukraine” turned out to be a technical error.
