An ammonia leak, the volume of which amounted to 5 liters, was eliminated at the enterprise for the production of sausages and meat products “Ratmir”, which is located in Vladivostok. The liquidation was carried out by the employees of the enterprise itself, there is no threat to the employees and the population of the city.

The cause of the accident, which occurred on the morning of February 9, was the depressurization of the valve of the refrigeration unit at the finished product warehouse of Ratmir, located in one of the suburbs of Vladivostok. An alarm went off on the territory of the enterprise, and even before the arrival of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, about 400 people evacuated from all the premises on their own. Now the backup valve is closed, the warehouse is being ventilated, where a dangerous leak has occurred. Work in the workshop was suspended for a day, an environmental impact assessment is working at the site of the incident.
