MANTA, Manabi
A woman was murdered on the afternoon of this Monday, February 7, in the 15 de Septiembre neighborhood, in the southwest of Manta, in circumstances that are still being investigated by the National Police.
The violent act was recorded around 2:30 p.m. The victim was identified as Joselin NP, 29 years old.
According to preliminary data, the young woman was attacked when she was leaving to visit a relative in that area of Manta.
After the attack, she was taken to a clinic in Manta, where she died around 3:00 p.m.
They arrest three people linked to the Los Choneros gang
The woman was arrested in April 2021 along with eleven people in an operation that the Police announced at the time that it was against people who were allegedly linked to the Los Choneros gang.
She was released days after that arrest. It was learned that the woman had already suffered an attempt on her life in January of last year.
With this murder, the number of violent deaths reported in Manabí so far in 2022 increases to 36. (I)
