In 2022, the Moscow authorities intend to open 10 more MDC stations. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his blog.

According to him, this year it is planned to intensively develop surface metro. Thus, two large transport hubs, Pechatniki and Maryina Roshcha, will start operating at MDC-2. According to the forecasts of the authorities, thanks to this, public transport will become more accessible for 360,000 residents of the south-east of Moscow.

“In order to cross the railway and get to the Pechatniki metro station, today residents of Lyublinskaya, Shkuleva, Artyukhina, Malyshev streets have to make a detour of several kilometers,” Sobyanin stated, adding that to solve the problem, a new pedestrian tunnel will be built connecting the station from Lublinskaya street.

The mayor also said that at the Maryina Roshcha station, passengers will be able to transfer to the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line, and later to BKL and MCD-4. And as part of the creation of the MCD-4, it is planned to complete work on the Minskaya station.

In addition, five stations of the future MCD-4 will open this year after the completion of a large-scale reconstruction of the Ochakovo, Meshcherskaya, Peredelkino, Lesnoy Gorodok and Tolstopaltsevo platforms.
