“Why inflate?”: Myasnikov attacked the media because of horror stories about children’s covid

TV presenter and physician Alexander Myasnikov attacked the media, intimidating people with horror stories about the consequences of coronavirus in children.

“I see that the general scare of covid has been replaced by a scare campaign on the topic “covid and children,” the doctor wrote in his Telegram channel. He criticized the absurd statements of a number of doctors that “children lived with diabetes, not paying attention to it, and covid sharply aggravated and revealed it.”

The TV doctor recalled that “30-50% of all acute respiratory infections in children have so far been caused by the old “human” varieties of coronavirus known since the 60s HCoV-229E, HCoV-NL63, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-HKU1.” According to Myasnikov, “omicron” “began to affect children in the same way as our old “human” coronaviruses, known for many decades. “It usually occurs in children with diarrhea, sometimes complicated by inflammation of the middle ear, but, in general, a peaceful, banal acute respiratory disease known for many years,” the doctor explained, outraged by the presentation of information about children with coronavirus in the media. “Why inflate? And so people have nerves to hell, ”concluded Myasnikov.

Earlier, Myasnikov slammed doctors for prescribing hormones for a mild form of covid, and also urged Russians not to besiege polyclinics and be treated for “omicron” at home at temperatures up to 38 degrees.
