On Monday, October 25 and Tuesday, October 26, vehicular circulation will be restricted in kilometers 80 and 82 of the Alóag-Santo Domingo highway, an important highway that connects the Sierra and the Ecuadorian coast.
The Provincial Government of Santo Domingo reported that this measure will be applied for sewer reconstruction works in the Unión del Toachi-Santo Domingo stretch.
Landslides force a new closure on the Baños-Puyo highway
On Monday 25, the closing will start from 06:00 to 17:00. And on Tuesday an alternate route will be available.
The provincial entity apologized to the drivers who usually travel on said highway and suggested taking the following alternate routes: Alluriquín-La Florida-Las Mercedes and Mitad del Mundo-Los Bancos. (I)
