The State Department confirmed the presence of intelligence about the “fake video” as a pretext for the “invasion” of the Russian Federation into Ukraine

US authorities have intelligence about Russia’s plans to film a “fake video” of the attack by Ukrainian troops and use it as a pretext for an “invasion,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said.

However, he refused to provide evidence and specify the source of these data, allegedly in order to “protect sensitive information.” Also during the briefing, Price stated that “if this scenario does not materialize, this does not mean that the information is incorrect” and that “the Russians had no such plans.”

During a Q&A session, the reporters asked Price to provide evidence that Russia was indeed planning to fabricate material for the invasion. The representative of the State Department in response explained that his statement at the briefing is the proof. In addition, Price suggested that journalists who “doubt the credibility” of US or British government data should “seek solace in the information that the Russians are spreading.”

Recall that earlier Western media reported that the US intelligence community allegedly has evidence that Russia plans to film a propaganda video showing a fabricated attack on its troops and use this video as a pretext for invading Ukraine.
