Three people died and another seven were injured as a result of three traffic accidents that were reported between the night of Tuesday the 1st and the early hours of Wednesday the 2nd in the cantons of Pelileo and Baños de Agua Santa, in Tungurahua.
The first emergency was reported around 9:20 p.m. in the El Corte sector, in the Pelileo canton. There, two vehicles collided head-on.
As a result, three minors aged 4, 6, and 9, as well as a 31-year-old woman, resulted in various injuries. All those affected were transferred to the basic hospital of the canton to receive specialized care.
The rescue teams also treated a 40-year-old man, who was later taken to the Pelileo hospital in critical condition and died on arrival there.
Police personnel reported that it was a sinister type frontal collision between the two light vehicles.
The morning of this Wednesday 2, around 00:20, in the U de Chambag sector, also in Pelileo, the incident of a car that lost track and crashed into a public lighting post was reported.
Teams from relief entities treated three men aged 20, 27 and 41, who were later transferred to the Pelileo Basic Hospital. In the sanatorium they were under the corresponding medical observation. In that sinister road, a 35-year-old man died.
Specialized personnel from the National Police carried out the removal of the body for its subsequent transfer to the Ambato Forensic Center.
The vehicle was towed to the Pelileo vehicle retention yards.

Meanwhile, around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday 1, ECU911 was reported about another road emergency at km 55 of the E30 highway (via Baños-Puyo), in the San Francisco sector of the Río Negro parish.
On site, a taxi and a passenger transport bus were involved in the accident.
Preliminarily, it was revealed that one of the vehicles had lost track, and there was a side collision between the taxi and the bus.
