Russian President Vladimir Putin is convinced that Russia and China play an “important stabilizing role” in the current “far from simple” international situation. He stated this in his article for the Xinhua News Agency, written on the eve of his visit to China on February 4.

As the president emphasized, “the foreign policy coordination of Russia and China is based on close, coinciding approaches to solving global and regional problems.” “Our countries play an important stabilizing role in the current, far from simple, international situation, contribute to the processes of democratization of the system of interstate relations in order to make this system more fair and inclusive,” Putin said.

According to him, Moscow and Beijing are working together “to strengthen the central coordinating role of the United Nations in world affairs”, striving “to prevent the erosion of the international legal system, at the center of which is the UN Charter.”

At the same time, the president specifically noted “Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction,” which, in his opinion, “have reached an unprecedented level, have become a model of efficiency, responsibility, and aspiration for the future.”

Putin is going to discuss with Chinese President Xi Jinping “key issues on the bilateral, regional and global agenda” during the visit.

Recall also that on January 30, former US President Republican Donald Trump criticized the current head of the White House, Joe Biden, and, in general, the Democrats, whose foreign policy, he believes, can allow Russia to take Ukraine under control and creates risks of a third world war.

“What Biden and (House Speaker Nancy) Pelosi and (Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck) Schumer did to this country is bullshit of the highest order,” Trump said.

Such a policy, the ex-president believes, has led, in particular, to the fact that “China threatens Taiwan, Iran has approached the creation of a nuclear bomb, Russia can take control of Ukraine.”

In general, Trump fears, Biden’s incompetent policies could lead to a third world war: “Biden’s weakness and incompetence creates a real risk of a third world war.”
