The head of the Supreme Court of the Chechen Republic, Alavdin Gardaloev, asked to stop the resignation of the former judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, Saidi Yangulbaev. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Caution, news”.
The meeting of the judicial commission is scheduled for February 3.
The resignation into which the former judge retired in 2015 may be terminated if the collegium finds in his actions violations in the exercise of powers, a violation of the code of judicial ethics, or engaging in activities incompatible with the status of a judge. “If the qualification board grants the request, Saydi Yangulbaev will lose his immunity and his status, which will remove the obstacles to initiating a criminal case against him,” the source said.
The family of Saidi Yangulbaev became famous throughout Russia after his wife Zarema Musaeva was taken out of Nizhny Novgorod and taken to Chechnya as a witness in a criminal fraud case. She is currently under arrest, which will last until April 1. Saidi Yangulbaev himself and his children left the territory of Russia.
