Sierra-Amazon
- In the Sierra-Amazonía cycle, at all traffic lights (green, yellow, red), attendance will be face-to-face from the first year of Basic General Education to the third year of Baccalaureate in single-teacher, two-teacher or multi-teacher units; and, in rural schools.
- Voluntary face-to-face assistance will be for Elementary School and Middle School students in urban educational institutions of the Sierra-Amazon regime.
- Face-to-face attendance will be voluntary for Initial Education levels.
Coast-Galapagos
- At a yellow and green traffic light, all educational institutions must offer the face-to-face option in all their grades or courses, until March 11, which is the end date of the 2021-2022 school year.
- When the grade or course has exceeded 85% of its students vaccinated with two doses, the educational institutions may, in agreement with the families, have face-to-face attendance of all students.
Universities
- The COE has asked the Council of Higher Education to issue a provision so that there is a green traffic light capacity for universities with 100% attendance. In cantons with yellow and red traffic lights, attendance may be voluntary with a capacity of 1.5 square meters per person.
Public sector workers
- Capacity of 100% of public sector workers of the institutions of the Executive Function is allowed for the cantons that are in green.
- Maximum capacity of 75% for cantons in yellow.
- 50% capacity for the cantons in red.
The measure will be applied from Thursday, February 3 and until Tuesday, February 8, when there will be a new evaluation.
91% of the cantons at the national level are at a yellow and green traffic light with capacities of 50%, 75%, 85% and up to 100%, according to the president of the national COE, Juan Zapata. (I)
