Nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg named four foods that can prevent the development of osteoporosis.
The list includes tofu, fatty fish, bell peppers and sauerkraut. The doctor in the new issue of the program “On the most important thing” on the TV channel “Russia 1” explained that tofu contains flavonoids, which have the effect of phytoestrogen. “Estrogen promotes calcium fixation in the bones. Estrogens prolong the youth of a woman, ”the expert noted.
Speaking about the benefits of fatty fish, Ginzburg said that it contains vitamin D. At the same time, the fish must be wild – artificially grown is not so useful.
Another useful product in the prevention of osteoporosis, the nutritionist called Bulgarian pepper, rich in vitamin C, which is needed to convert vitamin D into an active form. The fourth “miracle product” was sauerkraut, which contains large amounts of calcium, bifidus and lactobacilli.
