The cause of death of the Russian actor Leonid Kuravlev, who passed away at the age of 86, was announced. According to Channel Five, citing a source close to the artist, the actor died of cardiac arrest.

It is noted that Kuravlev suffered from dementia and cerebrovascular disease.

The actor was hospitalized in serious condition in January. He complained of breathing problems. Tomography of the lungs revealed a significant increase in the area of ​​damage to the respiratory system. Kuravlev was transferred from the hospital in Kommunarka to the hospice named after Vera Millionshchikova.

According to the TASS agency, which refers to a source familiar with the wishes of the actor’s relatives, Kuravlev will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow. The funeral will take place on February 1 or 2. Farewell to the artist is planned to be held at the Central House of Cinematographers.
