The organizers of the 2022 Olympics in Beijing did not take into account the tense relations between Russia and Ukraine. Athletes in special stands will be seated side by side, UNIAN reports, citing user pictures posted on Twitter.

It turned out that during the team competition, Ukrainian and Russian figure skaters will be placed side by side. Boxes of the Ukrainian national team will be placed next to the Russian ones. The order was compiled by the organizer according to the alphabet. As a result, participants from “warring” countries will watch the performances of other athletes together.

Matches will start on February 4th.

Earlier it was reported that before the start of the Games in Beijing, Ukrainian athletes were forbidden to communicate publicly with the Russians and be near the state symbols of Russia.

The 2022 Olympics in China will be held from February 4 to 20 with the participation of 45 Ukrainian athletes.
