Witnesses indicated that the victim apparently resisted an attempted theft of his motorcycle.

Adolfo Tuárez Cevallos, 23, was found dead on the side of Revolución Ciudadana avenue in the Quevedo canton, in the province of Los Ríos.
According to witnesses, the young man apparently resisted the theft of his motorcycle in which he was traveling on that road on the morning of this Saturday, January 29.
Relatives of the victim who was identified hours after the event indicated that the young man left La Maná canton early in the morning on his way to his research practices for studies related to the agricultural profession he was studying.
After the fact, paramedics from the local Fire Department arrived at the site to provide first aid to the citizen, but only confirmed that he no longer had vital signs and that he had injuries caused by a firearm.
The Police also arrived at the scene to collect the evidence that could clarify this violent act. They indicated that there are still no detainees and that the identity of the individuals who participated in this crime is unknown.
