Weekends and holidays, vehicles have free mobility.
It is Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30, all vehicles will be able to circulate in Quito, no matter what license plate number they end on.
According to the Pico y Placa restriction plan, the days Saturdays, Sundays and holidays there will be free mobility 24 hours.
From Monday to Friday will apply the restriction according to the last license plate number. Traffic limitation hours are from 06:00 to 09:30 and from 16:00 to 21:00.

The motorcycles are also part of the restriction; for it the last number before the final letter of the plate will be taken into account.

The vehicles that are exempt and can circulate freely they are those of the President and Vice President of the Republic; diplomatic and consular corps; of the National Police, emergencies and rescue; transportation of people with disabilities; public transport, commercial transport and transport on own account.
The taxis, hybrid cars, motorcycles and those who provide delivery service too they must abide the Peak and Plate.
Parking lot
The Metropolitan Mobility and Public Works Company (Epmmop) reactivated the parking lots for people who want to leave their vehicles. They work from 04:00 to 22:00. The service is free of charge, the only requirement is that the license plate of the car matches the vehicle restriction.
There are three public parking lots with a capacity of 460 seats:
- the County, located on Camilo Guachamín and La Esperanza streets. It has 150 spaces.
- Cuscungo located on the General Rumiñahui highway. It has 150 places.
- Zámbiza, in the avenue of the Palm trees and the Inca. It has 160 parking spaces. (I)
