Previously acquired immunity against coronavirus will not help to avoid infection with Omicron, Andrey Isaev, head of the DNCOM Research Center for Molecular Genetic Research, said at a round table in Rosbalt.
“To say that the immune defense will somehow work now is not correct. It is clear that if a person has previously been ill with other strains or has been vaccinated, they will most likely easily endure this story, maybe even asymptomatically, but they will endure it. With a high degree of probability, almost everyone will get sick with omicron,” Isaev said.
