After the fact, the neighbors alerted the police officers, who arrived at the site to collect the evidence from the crime scene and lift the victim’s body. Hours later, after the first investigations, agents found the whereabouts of the man’s wife, Mayra Rocío O., who ended up confessing that she, together with two men, allegedly planned the murder of the 48-year-old husband, according to police authorities.

The Chief of the Quevedo-Mocache District Police, Hólguer Cortez, stated that the woman in her statement explained that the causes that motivated her to plan the homicide were because she had been the victim of physical abuse by her partner and forced her to exercise as a sex worker.

The police colonel also explained that the citizens Jacinto Benedicto Z. and Guillermo Gabriel Z. would be linked to this violent event, since the woman indicated that the three allegedly planned the crime. “Between the three they would have planned the crime, the woman said that they paid a hit man $ 500 to commit the murder, the investigations continue and the relevant authorities will be in charge of trying the suspects,” said the police chief.

This afternoon the hearing to formulate charges will be held. In this diligence, the competent authorities are expected to determine the legal status of the three detainees.
