Indictment approved in Moscow in the case of the beating of figure skater Solovyov

The prosecutor’s office of the Central Administrative District of Moscow approved an indictment in a criminal case against two young people who beat figure skater Dmitry Solovyov. They are accused of deliberately causing moderate bodily harm by a group of persons out of hooligan motives.

The prosecutor refused to satisfy the motions to dismiss the criminal case in connection with the reconciliation of the parties. In the near future, the criminal case will be sent to the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. The accused are in custody.

According to the investigation, voiced by the Moscow prosecutor’s office, on December 21 last year in Veskovsky Lane, two drunken 18-year-old young people beat Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov, inflicting multiple blows to his body and head. After that, realizing that the victim would not be able to resist, one of the accomplices struck Dmitry Solovyov with two punches on the head and one kick in the back.

Solovyov’s health suffered moderate damage.
