The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) demanded that Russia launch an “independent and effective” investigation into the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny Twitter.

Recall that on January 26, as part of the Sundance Film Festival in the United States, the world premiere of the documentary film Navalny, filmed by CNN and the HBO Max streaming service, took place. The film tells about the “poisoning” of an oppositionist in the summer of 2020, shows footage of hospitalization, attempts by his wife Yulia to get to the hospital. And Navalny himself in the film recalls how he arrived in Tomsk on the eve of the poisoning.

And earlier, on January 25, Rosfinmonitoring included in the list of organizations and individuals involved in extremist activities or terrorism oppositionist Navalny, as well as a number of his associates, including Lyubov Sobol, Georgy Alburov, Vyacheslav Gimadi, Pavel Zelensky and Ruslan Shaveddinov.

Navalny is currently serving his sentence in the Yves Rocher case in penal colony No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Vladimir Region near the town of Pokrov.

We add that on the eve of the United States made accusations against Russia, reacting to the inclusion of Navalny and eight of his associates in the register of persons involved in extremism and terrorism.
