In Ukraine, from March 1, decided to increase pensions and social benefits

From March 1, the Ukrainian authorities decided to index monthly compensation payments to pensions by 14%. The Ministry of Social Policy has prepared a draft resolution on increasing a number of pensions and social benefits, the press service of the department reports. After indexation, payments will amount to UAH 456 for persons aged 75-80; persons aged 80+ — 570 UAH.

Insurance pensions assigned before 2019 will be indexed (the amount of the increase will be at least UAH 100, and on average – about UAH 500), military pensions (on average by UAH 700), the minimum disability pensions due to the Chernobyl accident (on average 400 UAH), other pensions for persons with disabilities from among the liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

It was also proposed to establish an additional payment to persons who are not subject to the indexation of pensions in the amount of UAH 135 per month and to increase the minimum pension payment to disabled people of group I and persons with a full insurance record (30/35 years) from UAH 2,200 to 2,300. It was decided to increase the pension by UAH 166 to UAH 2,100 for non-working pensioners from among the recipients of minimum pensions who do not have a full length of service.

The amount of state assistance for recipients of benefits for each child who is brought up in a large family is planned to be increased by UAH 400 (from UAH 1,700 to UAH 2,100).

In addition, it is planned to increase UAH 166 (from UAH 1,934 to UAH 2,100) for recipients of state social assistance to persons with disabilities from childhood and children with disabilities, as well as persons not entitled to a pension and persons with disabilities who receive state social assistance.
