In Kiev, entrepreneurs protesting against changes in the taxation system tried to break into the building of the Verkhovna Rada. The deputies were evacuated through an underground passage, RBC-Ukraine reports. Only guards and journalists remained in the building, the police used tear gas.

Protesters from the podium built near the Rada demanded the adoption of a law on a simplified system for the use of cash registers, as well as the inclusion of a number of other relaxations in the tax code. Entrepreneurs asked the deputies to come to them to discuss the requirements. After the police began to push them back, a scuffle ensued. At the moment, it is reported that the protest has subsided and two people have been detained.

Ukrainian entrepreneurs began to protest in the fall of 2020. At first, they were not satisfied with the coronavirus restrictions, and then they moved on to demand the abolition of certain provisions of the tax code, including the law on cash registers. In December of the same year, businessmen declared the protest indefinite and now go to rallies regularly.
