Alexander Mikhailov, head of the commission on ethics of the parliament of the Trans-Baikal Territory, called animal rights activists a “fifth column” that undermines the country’s security. This is reported by the site “Chita. RU”.

According to the deputy, such activists should be punished at the legislative level, and the dogs themselves should be shot, regardless of whether they are aggressive or not.

“We need to figure out where they get the money for their activities, for lobbying their interests,” emphasizes the deputy, who believes that animal rights activists should be engaged in more useful activities, for example, helping sick children. “It seems to me that this is some kind of foreign project aimed at destroying Russians with the help of dogs.”

In recent weeks, disturbing news has been received from various regions of Russia related to the attacks of stray dogs on children and adults, including fatal accidents. The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, has already instructed to analyze all similar cases and make proposals for improving legislation to increase security and exclude such cases in the future.
