Israel donates medical supplies to IESS for COVID-19 cases

The donations will be shared between two hospitals: General Sur in Quito and Los Ceibos in Guayaquil.

This Monday, the diplomatic representation of Israel in Ecuador delivered to the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) supplies, equipment and medical accessories for the care of people affected by coronavirus.

The donation, which according to the embassy is a way to resume national and international cooperation to strengthen the institution, was made this Monday and is made up of 1,125 N95 masks and 10,000 3ply type masks, 400 disposable gowns, 2 ventilators, 50 oximeters and fan accessories.

The delivery was made in an act in Quito, today, in which the Israeli ambassador and consul, Zeev Harel and Nadav Markman, gave the supplies to Francisco Cepeda, president of the Board of Directors of the IESS, and to Nelson García, general director of the institution.

According to information said at the event, the donations will be shared between two hospitals: General Sur in Quito and Los Ceibos in Guayaquil.

Cepeda thanked Israel for the gesture and the country’s ambassador stated that with this they wanted to show solidarity with those who need it most. (I)
