A body was found in the patio of a house in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood, in Yantzaza, Zamora Chinchipe.
The discovery occurred last Saturday, January 22, in a field that is covered by corn crops. Police personnel indicated that after not having knowledge of the whereabouts of citizen Luis Fernando V. Ch., they went to the home, where they carried out an inspection and began to remove the earth in the patio.
Uniformed added that the now deceased lived with his mother and another brother, who became a suspect in the death; it is presumed that they were alone when the fight occurred. The incident would have occurred on January 19.
The report also detailed that among the evidence a machete, a pick and a shovel were found.

Dinased and Criminalistics personnel arrived at the site and observed that the deceased had a skull wound made with a sharp weapon, they estimate that the victim’s death would have occurred last Tuesday, January 18.
The investigators are on the trail of the perpetrator, while the prosecutor on duty Galo RodrÃguez was in charge of removing the body and ordered that it be transferred to the Loja Forensic Center for the necropsy of law. (I)
