During the meeting, Valery Akhunov, together with the guests, will analyze the painting by F. Bruni “The Copper Serpent” – the largest canvas in the history of Russian art, which covers an area of 48 square meters.
“The picture is also considered one of the most mysterious – I will tell you how the copper serpent got on the crosses of the Christian church and who is actually depicted on the canvas,” Akhunov said.
Valery Akhunov is a leading researcher at the State Russian Museum, candidate of art history, candidate of economic sciences, member of the presidium of the National Academy of Tourism, lecturer at the department of social service and tourism at the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, author of more than 60 scientific articles and monographs .
