Another echelon with military personnel and military equipment from Russia arrived in Belarus at the Polonka railway station to participate in the exercises, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense reports.

“Russian military personnel continue to arrive to participate in the inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State on the territory of Belarus,” the ministry’s Telegram channel said.

As recalled by Interfax, Russia and Belarus are testing the reaction forces of the Union State, while the February exercises will take place against the backdrop of a crisis in relations between Russia and NATO.

On the eve it became known that Russian Su-35S fighters flew from the territory of the Khabarovsk Territory to also take part in military exercises in Belarus.

Meanwhile, US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said earlier this week that Washington was concerned about military exercises between Russia and Belarus and a Russian troop buildup on the border with Ukraine.

And later, a senior State Department official pointed out that the United States sees the move of Russian troops to Belarus as a possible preparation for an “invasion” of Ukraine.

We also add that back in November-December last year, the world media was filled with the topic of the alleged Russian invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions that should follow. According to the authors and experts of these publications, a sign of “invasion” is the concentration of Russian military equipment in the regions bordering Ukraine. Among the likely sanctions are both the shutdown of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, as well as restrictions against Russian energy companies, and the shutdown of the SWIFT system of “fast” financial settlements.
