In North Ossetia began checking the circumstances of the death of eight women in childbirth in the hospital

In North Ossetia, they began checking the circumstances of the death of eight women in labor at the Pravoberezhny Central Regional Clinical Hospital. The women died in September-December 2021, the press service of the head and government of the republic reported.

According to the Republican Ministry of Health, in September-December last year, 8 deaths of pregnant women were recorded in the Pravoberezhnaya Hospital. Including in the maternity ward of the hospital for pregnant women with covid, 6 deaths of patients with coronavirus were registered.

The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, at a meeting with the relatives of the deceased, assured that specialists from the Russian Ministry of Health had already come to the region and carried out an examination. The head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic was instructed to once again conduct a thorough check of the incident. Menyailo promised to take personal control of appeals of relatives of deceased women to law enforcement agencies. “I can assure you that an objective and comprehensive investigation into the causes of the incident will be ensured,” he promised. To do this, third-party experts will be involved in the investigation, “who will be able to impartially figure out what really happened.”

Relatives told Menyailo that they sent an appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin. Menyailo promised to talk to Bastrykin about the pre-investigation check.
