Violent deaths are increasing in Guasmo, in the south of Guayaquil. This Thursday night, three men were shot near a park in that sector.

Preliminary versions indicate that three men arrived in a vehicle and began to shoot at the victims who were gathered.

Residents of the sector reported that they heard more than 30 shots in the middle of the attacks.

Those killed are between 20 and 25 years old. According to information from the Police, two of those killed have criminal records for possession of weapons and trafficking of substances subject to control.

With his 10-month-old baby in his arms, a man was killed in Guasmo; The minor was injured and is hospitalized.

During the attack, several of the bullets ended up in a house in the area. The neighbors are worried about the event.

Violent deaths reach 12 in the southern district, one of the most conflictive in the city.

Police are investigating whether these crimes are related to drug trafficking in the area.
