Rescuers from the Fire Department were in charge of rescuing the victim’s corpse between the twisted irons of the light vehicle.

Germán Adolfo Ponce Bueno, 66, died after a collision between a car and a trailer in the Wilfrido Loor Moreira parish (Maicito), on the Flavio Alfaro-El Carmen road, in the north of Manabí.
Around 10:00 this Wednesday, the car in which the deceased was traveling, heading towards Flavio Alfaro, hit the trailer, which was transporting five new vehicles on a platform. According to preliminary inquiries by the Police, the incident apparently occurred when one of the two cars involved invaded a lane on a curve.
Both cars ended up on the side of the road. The light car moved about 5 meters to the side of the road, while the heavy vehicle ended up falling about 20 meters. Of the five vehicles it was transporting, three vehicles were dumped.
The rescuers of the Fire Department were in charge of rescuing the body of the deceased between the twisted irons of the light vehicle.
Criminalistics agents and the Police Traffic Accident Investigation System (SIAT) carried out the removal and transfer of the body to the Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas Forensic Center. (I)
