A relative of the former deputy of the St. Petersburg parliament Maxim Reznik, Ivan Dorofeev, said during interrogation in the Oktyabrsky District Court that he had slandered him during a search in his workshop.
“They tried to convince me that these were my cans (cans of chewing gum, in which they later found a narcotic substance – approx. Fontanka). They wanted to extract this information from me. I had a nervous state, stress, the operative put pressure on me, ”the Fontanka edition quotes Dorofeev as saying.
The court showed a video where Dorofeev claims that Reznik brought the banks to his apartment. He gave similar testimony during the first interrogation. However, at first he began to insist that he did not give such evidence, and did not recognize several of his signatures under the protocol of interrogation. Then he stated that the signatures were his, but he did not know how to leave comments in the protocol of interrogation.
The court did not allow Reznik’s lawyer to ask questions to Dorofeev while watching the video of the search. In addition, the judge denied the lawyer the opportunity to call Dorofeev to ask him questions during the defense stage.
Recall that ex-deputy Maxim Reznik is accused of illegally purchasing marijuana weighing 18.2 grams from a relative for personal use. The main argument of the prosecution is a video in which a deputy, during a search in a relative’s apartment, puts out two cans of Mentos sweets from a bag, as well as testimonies of the participants in the search.
