In April, the Ecuadorian Navy will carry out the recruitment of midshipmen and cabin boys for 2022. This call corresponds to high school graduates up to 22 years of age.
Currently the entity maintains another call for specialists that will allow registration on February 7.

In the case of midshipmen and cabin boys, registration will be online from April 4 to 29. In this process, applicants are sought for weapons and services midshipmen, naval science cabin boys, electronics, electricians, mechanics and cabin boys for marines.
The admission to schools will be on January 23 according to the published schedule.
Requirements for aspiring midshipmen and cabin boys:
- Being Ecuadorian by birth, in accordance with article 7 of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador.
- Be of legal age up to 22 years 0 months 0 days, calculated on the expected date of admission to the training school.
- Have a minimum height of 165 cm (men) and 160 cm (women).
- Don’t have tattoos.
- Single marital status, without family responsibilities (children).
- Possess a bachelor’s degree duly recognized and registered by the Ministry of Education, in unified science, technical and international baccalaureate. (Students who are in their third year of high school under the Sierra/Oriente regime must present a certificate from the school, which guarantees that they are in that condition).
- Possess the qualified note of the Higher Education Access Exam.
- Do not register a criminal record or be immersed in judicial proceedings; A similar condition will be taken into account in their relatives up to the first degree of consanguinity, who have a criminal record or judicial proceedings related to the following crimes (drug trafficking, smuggling, white slavery, kidnapping, extortion, fraud, domestic violence, organized crime, illicit association , homicide and robbery).
- Not having been discharged from active service in the Training Schools of the Armed Forces, the National Police and the Transit Commission of Ecuador; except for the causes stipulated in the Armed Forces Education Regulations in force.
- Not having been discharged from active service in the Armed Forces training schools due to misconduct, failure to adapt to applicable military life in the three forces, and for entering the military training institutes with adulterated documentation or forged duly verified, without prejudice to the legal actions that may take place.
- Not having been eliminated from an Armed Forces selection process for having presented adulterated or forged documentation duly verified; as well as for having been detected evading or adulterating documents, (biological) samples or procedures in these selection processes.
- Applicants to midshipmen and ship’s cabin boys, technicians and services will indicate at the time of registration the process for which they wish to apply (midshipmen or cabin boys). (I)
