There is still no date to designate his replacement in the leadership of the legislative block
Assemblyman Alejandro Jaramillo, this January 18, presented his resignation as head of the Democratic Left (ID) caucus, so that someone else from his bloc assumes the leadership of this group of legislators that at the moment occupies fifteen seats.
Jaramillo’s resignation was presented to the national president of the Democratic Left, Guillermo Herrera, and occurs a few days after the acceptance of the irrevocable resignation of Diego Almeida as national executive secretary of the party.
Jaramillo coordinated the bench since March 2021 and in his letter he reports that he achieved a political alliance with Pachakutik, which became the second most important bench, which achieved five vice-presidencies of the parliamentary tables, one delegate before the Council of Legislative Administration and the second vice-presidency of Parliament twice.
“I am proud to have been decisive for the designation of authorities 2021-2023, but also to be the first and perhaps the only ones capable of cleaning our house inside by presenting various inspection processes,” reads the resignation letter.
He points out that without a doubt he has made countless mistakes, that he has never succumbed to corruption, never put his personal interests before the collective ones.
There is still no date to designate Jaramillo’s replacement in the ID bench. (I)
