The measures will be in force until January 23.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition together with the Ministry of Tourism announced that due to the increase in COVID-19 infections at the national level and to avoid crowds, the hours of access to protected areas at the continental level are modified.
The measures will be in force between January 17 and 23, although they may be subject to change according to what is stipulated by the National Emergency Operations Committee.
This is how on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the protected areas will be closed, while from Thursday to Sunday they will open according to the schedule of each area, however, the capacity will be stipulated at the traffic lights of each canton.

In the case of those with a red alert, the capacity will be 30%; in yellow, 50%; and green, 70%.
It was indicated that the tour operators will be able to enter with visitors according to the planning throughout the week, prior coordination in each administration.
Last Sunday, the National COE established a national traffic light due to the increase in cases of COVID-19, placing 193 cantons at high risk, which also led to the suspension of face-to-face classes. (I)
