The spring session has officially started in the State Duma, a Rosbalt correspondent reports.
According to State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the House is currently considering 1,136 bills, of which about 300 have already been adopted in the first reading. Volodin called “the adoption of laws to improve the lives of citizens, develop the economy, protect the sovereignty of the country and implement the message of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly” as the priority of the deputies’ work.
“The main challenges today remain the pandemic and poverty. It is right that legislative initiatives on these issues be considered as a priority, and we need to organize this work on a systematic basis, ”said the speaker of the State Duma.
Recall, on the eve of the State Duma Council decided to postpone indefinitely the consideration in the second reading of the bill on QR codes in public places. With such a proposal, the government of the Russian Federation, which acted as the developer of these norms, earlier addressed the deputies. At the same time, it should be noted that the regional authorities already now, at their own discretion, have the right to make decisions on the introduction of QR codes at the local level.
