[Podcast] National COE prohibits authorization of public events before October 30, with exceptions

In stadiums or other open places, public events are allowed in Ecuador. Doctors ask to maintain biosecurity measures.

The COE ordered that the Ministry of Government communicate to all the municipalities of the country, the prohibition of issuing authorizations to public events before October 30, with the exception of activities in stadiums or other open places.

People who wish to attend public events must have the vaccination certificate with the second dose of at least 14 days before and the negative PCR test of 72 hours. In addition, the use of a mask, disinfection, etc. is required.

In Guayaquil, the incidence of infections remains down. However, doctors ask to maintain biosafety measures when going out to public spaces or traveling during future holidays, since at the national level there is an alert of a slight increase in cases.

The epidemiologist Carlos Farhat, municipal coordinator of the Health Directorate, suggested that people go to open spaces, to places that are not crowded with people:
