The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow opened a criminal case after the appearance in the media of information about the statements of a young man who calls himself a Dagestani in the capital’s bus.
As reported in the UK, the case is being investigated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on inciting hatred or enmity, humiliation of human dignity, committed with the threat of violence.
A complex of investigative actions and operational-search measures is being carried out, they are looking for a young man.
Recall, the Telegram channel Readovka circulated a video of the incident on the bus. The young man aggressively declared to those present that they were “pigs and creatures”, called the Russians “Nazis” and promised that “the time will come, we will beat you all, we Dagestanis.” He also shouted, addressing the elderly passenger, that he was not afraid of punishment, because he was “at home, I am a citizen of Russia.”
The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, called on the young man to apologize for his inappropriate behavior, and for law enforcement officers to conduct an investigation on this video. He stated that the behavior of the young man “not only violates all conceivable norms that exist in human society, but also contradicts the historically established ethical code of the Dagestani, which determines, among other things, the attitude towards elders.” “This person must apologize not only to those whom he grossly insulted, but also to all Dagestanis on whose behalf he tried to speak,” Melikov emphasized.
