Finance Minister Anton Siluanov believes that Russia will be able to solve inflationary problems this year. He stated this today at the Gaidar Forum.

“This year we will be able to solve them (problems of an inflationary nature – ed.), and by the end of the year we expect positive results,” Prime Minister quotes.

Earlier, Rosstat confirmed the estimate of inflation in the Russian Federation for 2021 at 8.39%, while the Central Bank of the Russian Federation expects consumer prices to rise in the range of 4-4.5% this year.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, is convinced that inflation in the Russian Federation could be 4 percentage points higher than current levels without the tightening of monetary policy undertaken by the regulator, TASS notes.

For his part, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov believes that the government’s measures to support the Russian economy had a positive effect on the picture of inflation in the Russian Federation at the end of the year, without them it could have exceeded 9%.
