Omsk ritualists offer to arrange fireworks from the ashes of the dead

Omsk ritual agency “Heritage” offered a new service to its clients. The company proposes to fill the ashes of the deceased in firecrackers and launch them into the sky in the form of a salute.

As Alena Shpak, art director of the Heritage ritual agency, informed the NGS, such a service exists in different countries of the world. “People often ask about the possibilities of scattering the ashes and holding the ceremony. This is one of the possibilities. And most often, questions about dispelling are addressed some time after cremation, when they already psychologically accept death as a given, ”said the representative of the agency.

There is no crematorium in Omsk, so the bodies are taken to Novosibirsk for cremation, and the ashes are then returned.

Earlier it was reported that the Moscow city ritual service “RSS-Ritual” offers the service of burying the deceased in an elite coffin with a golden double-headed eagle. The cost of such a coffin is 571 thousand rubles. The model called “Patriot” with Russian symbols is produced in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, in general, Russians began to save money on ritual services. According to Rosstat, in the first half of 2021, the revenue of ritual agencies across Russia amounted to 36.9 billion rubles. Compared to the same period in 2020, the indicator increased by 9%. At the same time, in January-June 2021, 1.1 million people died in the country (plus 16% to 946.6 thousand deaths in the same period of 2020). Experts told the publication that the difference between the dynamics of incomes of funeral homes and mortality is due to a decrease in the average cost of burial and saving citizens on additional funeral services.
