Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has been arrested again in Australia. He will remain under immigration detention until a final judgment is issued on January 16, according to the Serbian portal RTS.

Earlier, Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke decided to re-annul Djokovic’s visa and deport him from the country. Djokovic will also be banned from entering Australia for three years.

Recall that in early January, the world’s leading tennis player was detained at Melbourne airport, where he arrived to participate in the first Grand Slam tournament of the Australian Open this season. Representatives of the Djokovic team have requested a type of Australian visa, which is not issued to holders of a medical exemption from vaccination against COVID-19.

On January 10, the Australian federal court in Melbourne upheld the appeal of the tennis player who challenged the annulment of his visa and the decision on deportation made by the country’s border service. Meanwhile, Spiegel magazine later claimed that Djokovic provided false information about the PCR test for covid.
