Kazakh journalists are looking for Nazarbayev’s eldest daughter

Dariga Nazarbayeva, daughter of the ex-president of Kazakhstan and a member of the Mazhilis (lower house of parliament), may not have appeared at her workplace on January 11. This is reported by the ORDA Telegram channel, explaining with reference to one of Nazarbayeva’s colleagues that usually the deputies are absent from the plenary meeting due to health problems or in connection with a business trip.

“The press service of the ruling Nur Otan party promised to find out the whereabouts of Dariga Nazarbayeva, but have not yet provided an answer,” the journalists said.

The eldest daughter of Nursultan Nazarbayev during the reign of her father has changed about 20 positions, including the post of chairman of the Senate. She was actively involved not only in politics, but also in business, charity, and even performed on the opera stage. Many scandalous incidents are associated with her name – from the mysterious suicide of her ex-husband Rakhat Aliyev to the story of the arrest of her property by a British court in 2019. Law enforcement agencies said that Nazarbayev’s eldest daughter and her son Nurali Aliyev had acquired real estate worth $ 100 million with illegal income, but the High Court of London did not agree with these arguments and removed the arrest from the property.
