More than 11,331 complaints from citizens about uncleared snow and ice on the sidewalks were registered on the Our St. Petersburg portal. All of them have the status of “pending”. Some applications for the portal were received on December 30, but the municipal services of the city did not have time to respond to them.
In the messages, Petersburgers are asking to put in order the yards and sidewalks and treat the territory with a sand-salt mixture. Motorists also complain about snowdrifts on the roads. Most of the applications came from the Central, Nevsky, Vyborgsky districts.
There are also many outraged messages from residents about the work of public utilities on social networks.
“Walking along your favorite snow-covered streets of the city turns into some kind of torment. Either you wade through the snowdrifts, then you grab the fence so as not to fall and slip due to the fact that there is one solid block of ice all around. “Come on!” – you think and walk along the road. It’s faster and safer this way, ”the St. Petersburg woman shared her winter impressions in the VKontakte group“ Central region for a comfortable living environment ”.
The woman also noted that there is an obvious shortage of wipers in the city due to low wages:
“For comparison: the salary of a janitor is 20 thousand rubles, and a courier in the delivery service, without much bureaucracy, can earn 5 thousand rubles for a 12-hour shift.”
Earlier “Rosbalt” wrote that the snowdrifts in the city have grown to record values.
