A serious problem has been discovered in iPhone smartphones that allows attackers to steal user personal data, reports Mydrivers.
The vulnerability was discovered at ZecOps, a cybersecurity software company. The program, called NoReboot, simulates shutting down or restarting a smartphone. In this mode, incoming calls and message notifications, vibration, screen and camera indicator do not work. The display shows the animation of turning on the device to confuse the user, RIA Novosti reports.
In a pseudo shutdown state, an attacker gains remote access to the iPhone’s microphone and camera, as well as personal information stored on the smartphone. The user does not receive notifications about this.
According to ZecOps, the vulnerability, thanks to which the malware operates, cannot be fixed yet. The problem affects all iPhones with any version of iOS.
We also recall that in December it became known that the American technology giant Apple is going to introduce a 48-megapixel lens in the new iPhone 14 Pro, and a periscope module in the 2023 model. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made such a forecast.
According to him, according to MacRumors, the 48-megapixel camera will be available in the older iPhone 14 Pro models. It will record video in ultra-high resolution 8K, which will perfectly match Apple’s augmented reality headset. Its launch is expected in 2022.
