Flooded sectors and landslides in Santo Domingo due to rain during the weekend

A food court located on Tsáchila and Clemencia de Mora avenues was one of those affected by the accumulation of water.

The stagnant water due to the obstruction of the storm sewer caused problems in several sectors, regarding the heavy rain that fell in Santo Domingo, in the Tsáchila province, between Saturday night and this Sunday.

The local food court located on Tsáchila and Clemencia de Mora avenues was one of those affected by the accumulation of water. Staff and technical team from the municipal Potable Water and Sewerage company (Epmapa) uncovered the grates and drains on Tsáchila Avenue.

In Guayaquil, several streets flooded by rain are reported

With the cleaning, all the water was evacuated and citizens were asked to raise awareness so that the garbage was placed in the appropriate places.

Some streets of the El Mirador neighborhood, belonging to the 15 de Septiembre housing cooperative, were also flooded by the rain.

At kilometer 85 of the Alóag – Santo Domingo road, there was a landslide that was cleared by local institutions.

Criminals took advantage of the rain to attempt to rob cars parked on the streets of Mirador del Bombolí, Brisas del Colorado housing cooperative and Portón del Río citadel.
