Drunk resident of Omsk tortured his children because of problems at work

The Central District Court of Omsk sentenced a man to eight months of imprisonment under the article “Torture”, who, while intoxicated, forcibly threw his young children on the floor – an eight-year-old stepdaughter and a five-year-old son, which caused bruises and abrasions on the bodies of the children. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office, adding that the time spent in custody was credited to the term of serving the sentence. The 45-year-old defendant in the case was deprived of parental rights, he was also accused of failing to fulfill his responsibilities for raising minors. But the criminal case under this article was terminated due to the reconciliation of the parties.

The scandalous incident that took place in January last year was filmed on a mobile phone by the wife of the accused, she also sent the video to a relative, who posted the video on social networks. In the course of the investigation, it turned out that the accused had previously punished the children physically “for educational purposes”, and the episode recorded on video and published on social networks was explained by the need to relieve stress due to problems at work.
