Bloomberg: In the event of the “invasion” of the Russian Federation to Ukraine, the United States will restrict the export of avionics and smartphones made with the use of American technologies

The United States may restrict the export of high-tech products and microelectronics to Russia in the event of a hypothetical “invasion” of Ukraine, which is expected for the third month in a row. This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency, citing a source close to the administration of President Joe Biden.

We are talking about limiting the export of high-tech products and microelectronics produced using American technologies or software – from avonics to smartphones. These restrictions should be painful for both the military and civilian sectors of Russia, as well as for the technological ambitions of the Russian Federation, the article says.

Information that Russia is allegedly preparing to invade Ukraine has been on the pages of the world’s media since the beginning of November. The only “evidence” of these intentions are satellite images of Russian military equipment, which is concentrated in the regions bordering with Ukraine. The United States does not tire of warning the Russian Federation about the harsh consequences awaiting in the event of this invasion, while American experts admit that the effect of the sanctions may be difficult not only for the Russian economy, but also for the world economy.
