Two men were shot to death on the afternoon of this Friday 7 at the entrance to the Villamarina citadel, in the northeast of Manta. The attack was registered at 16:15.
The two people were sitting a few meters from a fast food outlet when they were intercepted by subjects who shot them. Some empty beer bottles were observed near the victims.
One of the deceased was identified as Jorge Eliécer Osorio Arteta, 40, of Colombian nationality. The second victim’s identity was still being investigated.
Xavier Briones, chief of the Manta Fire Department, confirmed the deaths of the two men and added that a woman was injured in the attack. She was transferred in an ambulance from the fire department to a health home.

In addition, one kilometer from the scene of the crimes, a charred vehicle was found. The Police indicated that the attackers were supposedly transported in that car.
After setting the vehicle on fire, the subjects got into another waiting car, according to preliminary information.
