A sustainable cemetery, ecological homes, cargo sailboats without emissions, a coin that rewards the commitment to recycling and sustainable fashion are some of the projects that are part of the ranking of the ninth edition of Green Awards.
This competition, which promotes the best sustainability ideas, was previously called Latin America Green Awards and its main headquarters were Guayaquil. Since this year it has been held in Miami, United States.
Part of the dynamics of Premios Verdes is the annual presentation of its ranking with the best 500 projects in Latin America, which correspond to initiatives from different countries on the continents.
In this ninth edition, after analyzing and evaluating 2,522 environmental and social projects from 28 countries and 655 cities, it has 3 finalists in each of the 21 categories. They have access to a complete network of contacts, follow-up and mentoring.
20 Ecuadorian projects are part of this ranking and two managed to be finalists. The winners will be known at the end of the sustainability week in a gala that will take place from April 20 to 24.
Organizing an international event is always complicated. Making it free is much more so. But, in this case, it is worth it and we are proud that it continues to be that way. pic.twitter.com/1EwzcUhaKu
