Fines for Peak and Plate in Quito increased due to the rise in the unified basic salary

The financial penalties could reach up to $ 212.50. All vehicles that violate the restriction will be retained.

The Municipality of Quito, through the Metropolitan Transit Agency, reported on the Increase in the value of fines for offenders who enter the city during the Pico y Placa vehicle restriction.

The fines for violating the measure are $ 63.75 the first time, $ 106.25 the second and $ 212.50 if the driver repeats for the third time or more.

The authorities explained that this increase is due to the rise in the unified basic salary, approved for this year at $ 425.

Vehicles are restricted from entering the urban area of ​​the capital according to the last digit of your license plate. The traffic limitation hours are from 06:00 to 09:30 and from 16:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday.

The motorcycles are also part of the restriction; For this, the last number before the final letter of the plate will be taken into account.

Parking lot
